Buga & San Cipriano
Singled out as a key destination on the religious tourism circuit, the small town of Guadalajara de Buga is home to the famous Basílica del Señor de los Milagros. Close to Cali, Buga makes for a pleasant outing to see the architecture, walk along the river bank and pay your respects to the Señor de los Milagros in this one of Colombia’s oldest towns founded in 1555.
Cipriano. Put on the map in backpacker’s circles due to a unique form of transport in the form of the “brujita” a railway platform connected to a motorcycle which moves passengers from the town of Cordoba, Valle de Cauca, to San Cipriano through dense jungles.
